This section lists the CPU-optimized Funtoo Linux builds currently available for download for amd64-excavator. The amd64-excavator subarch supports the AMD excavator microarchitecture, produced from 2015. It is the successor to the AMD Steamroller microarchitecture and will be the last revision of the 'bulldozer' family of processors, and will be succeeded by the 'Zen' processors (not yet released.)

No downloadable stage builds are currently available for this sub-architecture.

Architecture and Optimization

The following settings are applied to all stages for this subarch via Funtoo subarch profiles:

Currently the following excavator CPUs are available:

Amd64-excavator subarches are instruction-compatible with amd64-steamroller, but add new instructions over amd64-steamroller, including the MOVBE instruction.
