Plex Media Server

Plex Media Server is a media server for hosting your own media on Linux. Similar to the functionality of NetFlix, it can also stream music and photos.

Current Version

Installation

To install Plex Media Server, simply use emerge:

root # emerge media-tv/plex-media-server


You then connect to http://localhost:32400/web in your favorite web browser and follow the prompts. If you are doing this on a remote server via SSH, you may need to set up a tunnel to create this connection.
