Edit file in /usr/share/sddm/scripts/Xsetup and add this line (for French here; just set your desired language):

   /usr/share/sddm/scripts/Xsetup
setxkbmap fr,us

How to add add numlock

Numlockx should be installed first :

root # emerge -av x11-misc/numlockx

Then edit file in /usr/share/sddm/sddm.conf.d/00default.conf and change as below :
