我是在 Gentoo 1.4 的時候開始成為 Gentoo 的使用者，一直持續到今天。 Gentoo 曾經風光一時，後來沒落了好一段時間，曾經想轉投 Arch Linux 的懷抱，但最後還是喜歡 Gentoo 的設計與習慣而留下來。 後來 Gentoo 的創始人回來了，重新再創造出了 Funtoo Linux ，讓我又燃起了一陣希望，我也很快的投入 Funtoo Linux 的懷抱。
