top round or rump roast is a meaty cut of meat. it is good prepared this way. (this can also be done with chuck or english roast)

  • sear its sides like a steak(optional)
  • stick in crock pot on low for 8 to 12 hours, dice an onion and add it to pot with meat
  • add a coffee cups worth of water to the drippings about 12 oz'
  • add 3 beef bullion cubes
  • in cup mix 2 heaping spoon fulls of corn starch, then add like 2 to 4 oz of cold water to mix it up and have everything dissolve. stir in slowly to generate gravy/onion soup.

mashed potatoes

if you wish to make mashed potatoes with this i suggest steaming red potatoes quartered. when soft, smash the potatoes skin and all. add like 1/2 cup milk and 1/2 cup butter. mix well, add like 1/2 cup ranch sauce, and dress with gravy generated above. 10 medium red potatoes quartered should turn out excellent like this.
