如果你有Gentoo Linux的安裝經驗，你可能會對安裝流程感到十分熟悉，但是因為兩者之間仍有許多不同，所以還是建議你閱讀整份文件。如果你是第一次安裝Gentoo系發行版或甚至是第一次接觸Linux，我們都非常歡迎你的加入，我們會盡量讓純新手也能看懂這份教學。

  1. Download and boot the live CD of your choice.
  2. Prepare your disk.
  3. Create and mount filesystems.
  4. Install the Funtoo stage tarball of your choice.
  5. Chroot into your new system.
  6. Download the Portage tree.
  7. Configure your system and network.
  8. Install a kernel.
  9. Install a bootloader.
  10. Complete final steps.
  11. Reboot and enjoy.
